My interests in jazz are:

All genres, but mostly writing about the wonderful people who create this marvelous music and bring it to the world. Telling their stories -- and getting it right -- is important to me.

More about what I do:

I am a trained and experienced journalist with many years in the newspaper business as a reporter on all manner of things -- politics, government, sports, courts, unions, etc. etc. Also a business newspaper editor. I bring that background to my jazz writing. Accuracy is foremost.
