More about what I do:

I'm retired from my job as a music professor (jazz and other areas) and arts dean. I wrote for Jazz Times for over twenty years and for Cadence for nearly thirty. I was Jazz History Materials Chairman for the International Association of Jazz Educators for years. I also edited Jazz Notes from 2001 to 2003. I play the alto saxophone.
