My interests in jazz are:
Pittsburgh and Detroit Jazz, vocal jazz, the connective nature of jazz, history and culture and the impacts of jazz on society as whole
More about what I do:
I have been associated with jazz and media since the late 1970's as a radio host, performer (mostly vocal jazz), program director, general manager, concert producer/promoter and other activities to nurture a healthy creative ecosystem for jazz.
I'm currently General Manager of WZUM, the Pittsburgh Jazz Channel, a full-time jazz station deeply steeped in the traditions and current scene in Pittsburgh. We also actively support and curate a comprehensive list and tell the story of a broad array of jazz and jazz related activity in the region.
