My interests in jazz are:
Jazz has been a part of my life for over 35 years as a musician (vocalist), educator, writer, lyricist, publicist and listener. I am interested in helping the music evolve and be appreciated throughout the world.
More about what I do:
Author, Jazz Child: The Sheila Jordan Story published by Rowman & Littlefield. I continue to perform, record and write lyrics for my own music and for other jazz artists, including Charles Mingus and Sonny Rollins As an educator I am currently teaching seminars, workshops and private sessions online through Vocal Visions. I am involved in educating others about Music As Medicine or the many modalities of music healing through seminars, workshops and classes.
I support the JJA because
I believe in their mission and have received such wonderful support from many of the members.
