My interests in jazz are:
I am Jazz Director at 90.9 FM, WCDB, Albany, NY, (on-line at wcdbfm.com) and Host "The Saturday Morning Edition of Jazz" from 8AM - Noon. The Show rebroadcasts on Sunday mornings from 10 am until 2 pm. I have been hosting this program for over 40 years, since April 1985. WCDB is the Radio Station at the University at Albany, S.U.N.Y.
Additionally, since January of 2025, I am the Host of "The WAMC Jazz Show" which airs on Saturday night from 11 PM to Midnight on 90.3 FM, WAMC, Albany. Online at wamc.org - real time, and via Mixcloud. WAMC is the Albany NPR station and the program airs on 12 additional stations and 16 translators from New England, the Hudson Valley, the Greater Capital District of New York, portions of Central N.Y. and into northern New Jersey.
I also serve as President of A Place For Jazz, a 501(c)3, not for profit based in Schenectady, NY, dedicated to promoting jazz and jazz education in New York's Capital District. (aplaceforjazz.org) I was named a 2012 "Jazz Hero" by the JJA.
I am also a member of the Swingtime Jazz Society, a membership-based organization having as its sole purpose the promotion of good music by sponsoring open-to the public concerts that feature regional jazz artists. (swingtimejazz.org)
