My interests in jazz are:
My podcast, Strictly Jazz Sounds. I am fortunate and honored to have interviewed some wonderful musicians and jazz community figures. Strictly Jazz Sounds is about capturing the thoughts, desires and dreams of today's musicians but also their music. The show attempts to give listeners a taste of their music by providing one to two tracks of their music (with full authorization). Previously, I produced and hosted a jazz radio show for almost 20 years. The show was “Strictly Jazz Sounds” for WORT89.9-FM. I, along with my partner and co-host (a local jazz pianist/educator) interviewed many of our jazz legends, including Geri Allen, Sonny Rollins, McCoy Tyner, Sonny Fortune, Terri Lyne Carrington, Richard Davis and Roscoe Mitchell. Two of our interviews were published by “Jazz Improv” magazine, Sonny Rollins and McCoy Tyner.
