My interests in jazz are:
I am currently writing a biography of swing-era drummer and bandleader Chick Webb. I am interested in the history of jazz, from pre-jazz to contemporary music, however, mainly my interest is the swing period. I also have interests/experience in African American music and culture, popular culture, and women musicians/composers.
