My interests in jazz are:

Writing about jazz history, especially in the South.

I support the JJA because

I found out about this organization in late 2022 and I was thrilled. In mid 2023, I published my first full-length feature about jazz in Birmingham. It covers the release of a documentary about a local jazz icon and music educator named Daniel Jose Carr. Later that year, I also published an obituary on Dr. Tolson Rosser a celebrated jazz musician and educator in Birmingham.
