My interests in jazz are:
wide and deep. I grew up in Seattle, the daughter of a professional jazz guitarist and teacher, Ron Peters, and within the rich jazz community in Seattle. I now have my own freelance writing business, and some of my work is in the world of jazz journalism. I write for Downbeat, Earshot Jazz Magazine, and many other outlets about a variety of jazz topics. I'm also working on a book with Paul de Barros about the history of the Seattle jazz community (1960-2020) due out with The History Press in 2026.
