My specialism is contemporary British jazz. I also enjoy writing about spiritual and free jazz, particularly the Alice Coltrane and Pharoah Sanders era. I am fascinated with how jazz interacts with culture and identity, and am dedicated to foregrounding women and jazz musicians of colour in my writing.
