My day job: associate professor at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism, where I teach data journalism, reporting and examine journalism history. I am the author of two books on journalism history. I worked for 26 years as a news reporter and editor: Associated Press, Bloomberg News, Dow Jones News Wires and The Wall Street Journal
