The JJA is launching an exciting new project: Arnold Jay Smith Intergenerational Professional Development Seminars, in which veteran jazz journalists and colleagues will hold live interactive Zoom discussions on current issues with a select coterie of emerging and mid-career jazz journalists, producing member-accessible resources from the efforts.
Several confirmed "senior fellows" -- discussion leaders of the eight 90-minute seminars planned for spring 2027, January through April -- will talk of their plans for the project in this hour-long information session, which should be of special interest to those who might apply for "junior fellow" status, using a application to be juried by the JJA board.
Atttendees suggestions for shaping the Arnold Jay Smith Intergenerational Professional Development Seminars will be welcome at this informational launch meeting, conducted by JJA board members and President Emeritus Howard Mandel.
