Photographer LISA HAGEN GLYNN is the next guest on "Seeing Jazz," the Jazz Journalists Association's on-line Photography Master Class, to be held Saturday, February 24, 1 pm ET. Not only a master class in photography, "Seeing Jazz" serves as a unique salon that introduces attendees to an insider's intimate world of fascinating jazz artists and their stories!
Seattle-based music photographer Glynn has had her work published in DownBeat, The Wire, Jazz Times, All About Jazz, The Seattle Times, the Seattle alternative The Stranger, the nonprofit Earshot Jazz, and the blog Back Beat Seattle. She covers hundreds of shows a year from a range of musical genres, with equal love for small local venues, large arenas, and festivals. Since 2021, Glynn has also published her own Seattle music and culture blog, Hardly Raining.
The event will be hosted by Hrayr Attarian. Besides showing and discussing photographs from her portfolio, Lisa Hagen Glynn will answer questions posed by registrants for this Zoom event. Register here for the 90-minute session, free to JJA members, $10 for photographers, $15 for the "curious and supportive" public.
